CGCians extend help,
Initiate gift-giving project to schools
Students of CITI Global College collaborated with each other to start a gift giving project to selected local elementary schools of Cabuyao. During the actual gift giving at North Marinig Elementary School, HUMSS adviser Jovelyn Antonio said that the project was to give school supplies such as papers pencils and notebooks to kindergarten students to promote solidarity amongst students of CGC and to give hope to less fortunate students by giving them learning materials.
“Christmas is just around the corner and what better way to celebrate it is to give. My 12 HUMSS class led the donation and the collecting of gifts as well as distributing it. As Humanities students, I want them to learn how to be there for others and be initiators of community actions. Lessons will be lessons but what is important is that they learn to apply it in real life. And that’s what matters the most.” said Ms. Antonio
Aside from NMES, the students would also visit Sala Elementary School and Southville 1 Elementary School to give more school supplies to hundreds of kindergarten students.
